Cursed Catacombs

Created for the 2023 GMTK Game Jam with the theme Roles Reversed. Cursed Catacombs is a reverse rpg/dungeon-crawler, where instead of playing as the hero and trying to make it through the dungeon, you control a horde of zombies trying to kill the hero. The game also plays in reverse, so you start on level 2 and have to push the hero back. If you successfully defeat the hero on level 1, you win!

How to Play

• Left click with the mouse to spawn a zombie under the mouse cursor. You can only have up to 5 zombies on screen at any one time.
• Right click to kill the oldest zombie onscreen. This can be useful for when zombies get stuck or to pull up stragglers from the back of the horde.
• Keep the hero away from the chests. Chests contain valuable resources that will help the hero on their journey, but we don't want that! The fewer chests you let the hero open, the higher your score.
